Randy Hamud, Attorney

Duck Hunting in France

Dear Family, Friends, and Members of the General Public:

In any career, a time comes when it is time to make room for those who followed you. I once asked
a retired general surgeon how he came to know when it was time to “hang up the scalpel.” He responded, simply:
“My assistant surgeon told me that if he were I, he would not cut that!”

Fortunately, in practicing law, the decision is not so nearly fatal or dramatic. Having
practiced since 1971, I have reached the point in my life when I want to pursue other subjects.

Therefore, effective immediately, I am NOT accepting any new clients. I am looking forward to
pursuing other subjects of interest to me, including the occasional blog about some of the pressing
issues of the day.

In the meantime, I want to thank my past clients for entrusting me to represent them. I always
tried to do my best for you. Should you need future representation, I hope your next lawyer will
do likewise.

And to the federal government I say, “thanks for the memories!” It was quite a ride back in 2001 – 2003.
I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. And know this: if it were to repeat those same post-9/11 excesses,
I shall be back in the saddle again!

Haiku:

Change blows with the wind

Whose path will touch all compass points

Each brings knowledge all powerful

“Live Long and Prosper”

Sincerely,

Randy Hamud
